Developed by RWDC Industries, Solon™ is a naturally occurring, highly versatile Polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) biopolymer designed to replace single-use petroleum plastics without compromising on performance. Solon™ is produced through the microbial fermentation of sustainably sourced plant-based oils, including upcycled used cooking oils. Unlike industrial-compost-only PLA, Solon™ PHA is recognized by nature as food. Whether it ends up in a home compost bin, soil, or the ocean, it gets completely metabolized by naturally occurring microorganisms within weeks to months.
