Born as a spin-off from BC architects in Brussels, BC Materials transforms the construction industry’s massive waste problem into a regenerative architectural solution through “urban mining.” They intercept unpolluted excavated earth from local construction sites and transform it into their signature Léém collection—a 100% circular, unbaked, and zero-cement product line. The Léém collection consists of three core architectural products:

1. Léém Blocks (Compressed Earth Blocks – CEB): High-density, unbaked masonry blocks used for interior load-bearing or partition walls. They are pressed mechanically and dried naturally, completely eliminating the massive CO2 emissions associated with firing traditional bricks.

2. Léém Plasters (Base & Finishing): Natural earth and clay plasters designed for interior walls. They provide exceptional vapor permeability, continuously regulating indoor humidity and neutralizing airborne toxins for a healthier living environment.

3. Léém Rammed Earth: Ready-to-use earth mixes designed to create stunning, monolithic rammed earth walls. Applied layer by layer, these walls offer massive thermal mass, storing heat in the winter and keeping spaces cool in the summer. All Léém products are 100% circular; at the end of their lifecycle, they can simply be remixed with water or safely returned to the earth.
